The Spartan Phillip Lim

In light shows or Givenchy D & G, we can affirm that the barefoot inspired gladiator will soon have the wind in its sails. However, as they look flimsy sandals, these marvels of simplicity hype are sometimes downright uncomfortable. However, to survey the few miles that punctuate our lives, our toes should be at ease, while maintaining our ethical aesthetics ... Again, we thank the melting pot of cultures giving birth to geniuses who skillfully combine their different influences. Phillip Lim (a young Asian designer practicing in the USA) has indeed inspired by the traditions of his ancestors, as well as advocating customs Yankee comfort above all.

Note that this designer - who is emulated on the east coast - has proved to be a virtuoso fingers businessman: where others strain to run their creativity to collections inventive but somewhat portable, it is managed to combine talent and accessibility, thus becoming one of the darlings of all New York.

His latest fad - which as usual seems doped air time - is to develop an ultra comfortable sandal, while respecting the codes "mode of the moment. Noting that the hard soles of Spartan whole body fatigue, and damage the soles of his feet, he decided to borrow their rigidity cozy tatami Nippon to apply it to the sandals that he wanted to create.

The idea is bright, as the material consists of a blend of fibers offers true well-being arch, in addition to having medical virtues. Add to that a set of links leather designed to avoid injuring the foot and contemporary design, and you get the Spartan ideal ... Well at least perfect in the States, because for the European - and particularly small frenchies - it will be difficult to throw away old notions of the thick soles, which are strongly connoted hospital corridors.

Few of us will be well prepared to sacrifice even a small percentage of what they look for the benefit of their comfort. Anyway, good addicts in high heels, skirts impeded, bare legs in winter, and other insanities modesque, we have long since made ours the famous mantra "we must suffer to be beautiful" ...
